We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team.

This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of the firm’s financial operations. This individual should be highly motivated, proactive and a master of details who can also understand the bigger picture. Utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an understanding of accounting principles and industry-specific company practices, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of accounting records, prepare financial reporting, and maintain quality control over financial data and processes.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a strong understanding of US GAAP and experience in extensive general ledger work. The candidate should also be able to multi-task and meet a constant stream of deadlines. From time-to-time, there may be special projects with the goal of maximizing resources, streamlining processes, and improving efficiency within the accounting department and our growing organization.

What You Will Do:
  • Responsible for full cycle general ledger accounting of specific legal entities, including booking monthly journal entries, completion of all month/quarter end accounting tasks, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Responsible for ongoing reviewing the accuracy and completeness of financial information at the legal entity and consolidation level, research and resolve issues as needed.
  • Prepare financial statement packages, management reports, and analysis quarterly and on ad hoc basis.
  • Oversee the full cycle accounts payable process to ensure timely payment of invoices in line with vendor terms and payment schedules, including reviewing payment batches and initiating payment batches and ensuring inquiries and issues are addressed by the AP team.
  • Oversee travel and expense reimbursements process, corporate credit card reconciliations, and proper accounting for these transactions.
  • Assist with departmental budgets and conduct ongoing budget vs. actual analysis and monitoring.
  • Actively participate in year-end audits and quarterly reviews, including preparation of audit schedules and related requests.
  • Maintain and document adequate internal controls within the accounting processes to ensure well documented, accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Provide training, guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Perform general and ad hoc project support as required.
What You Will Need:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive general accounting experience and financial reporting including journal entry posting, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA license is a plus but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and application of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in month-end close processes and reporting.
  • Relevant experience with ERP and Accounts Payable systems (NetSuite and Tipalti preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools like Power BI preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and innovative mindset, regularly identifying challenges and proposing creative solutions.
  • Highly motivated and efficient individual who can set priorities, meet deadlines, and constantly adapt to changing conditions in a dynamic environment.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, thorough and accurate.
  • Ability to protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Manage time effectively, multi-task, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Must have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and integrity.

Compensation Range: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00, plus discretionary bonus.
Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, education, internal equity, and physical work location within the state.

This is a hybrid role, preference is to be located within commuting distance of Los Angeles, CA office.
