We are currently seeking a Director, Human Resources to join our team.

This role is responsible for leading all aspects of our HR responsibilities, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits strategy, learning and development, and state/federal compliance. This role requires a dynamic leader who can inspire and manage a team of HR professionals to achieve the company's strategic goals. The individual in this position will work closely with senior leadership to foster a high-performance culture guided by our mission and values, support our growing team, and drive initiatives that enhance our employee engagement and retention.

What You Will Do:
Strategic Human Resources Leadership:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy to help build a high-performing culture of success, accountability, transparency, and collaboration.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with management teams and employees to foster a positive work environment
  • Ensures the company’s diversity and inclusion efforts are effective and aligned with company values.
Talent Acquisition:
  • Provide oversight for the talent management strategy including workforce planning, talent acquisition and development and succession/pipeline management.
  • Collaborate with business leaders on succession planning and aligning organizational structure to meet current and future organizational needs.
HR Policy, Employee Matters and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across the multiple U.S. states where Aristotle has an employee presence.
  • Provide leadership on employee relations issues and HR best practice; ensure manager and employee compliance with Company policies and procedures; work closely with legal counsel to mitigate any potential legal risks.
  • Monitor company policies and the HR department functions to ensure they comply with government regulations and public policy.
Learning and Development, Performance Management, and Total Rewards:
  • Provide strategic oversight of Aristotle’s employee performance management system, to foster employee growth, development, and accountability.
  • Partner with managers to identify learning and development tools, and training programs to ensure growth opportunities for employees.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, productivity and satisfaction.
  • Evaluate compensation and benefits strategies to ensure they are competitive.
Team Leadership and Operations:
  • Evaluate HR technology and provide recommendations, in partnership with the IT department, drive system and process improvement.
  • Manage and provide mentorship and development to the human resources team.
  • Prepare and monitor HR Metrics and KPIs to give recommendations for HR business processes and strategies.
What You Will Need:
  • 10+ years of experience in HR management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations, continuing HR education and ongoing community involvement, preferred.
  • HR experience in a large buy side investment management preferred.
  • Experience working with or managing HR strategies for large buy-side firms; experience working in a multi-affiliate model a plus.
  • Experience implementing an integrated HR applications ecosystem is a plus.
  • Experience working within a hybrid work environment and supporting distributed teams.
  • Degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organization Development or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • National senior-level HR Certification such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP is a plus.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, organizational development and performance management within a regulated industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment law, particularly in multi-state environments.
  • Deep knowledge of organizational development, recruitment, employee relations, employee engagement, total rewards, and learning and development.
  • Ability to partner with senior leadership to drive Human Resource initiatives.
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee and manager coaching skills.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems and partnering with IT.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Self-managed, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in a changing environment.
  • Ability to protect the organization by knowing what type of information needs to be kept confidential.

Compensation Range: $240,000.00 - $285,000.00, plus discretionary bonus.
Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, education, internal equity, and physical work location within the state.

This position can be located in Los Angeles or Newport Beach. Must be willing to spend a minimum of 1-2 days a week in the office that’s not the primary location and travel to affiliate offices in Boston and Sarasota at least annually.
